Carnoustie Beach Rugby is all about the teams that enter and we’d like to give a warm welcome to Dundee and District Seniors. CBR caught up with the team and found out some cool things about them.
Do you have any unusual team facts? We’ve never played before. We know some of these guys and they are rugby mad and they know they’re shit so don’t be fooled!
What’s the funniest thing that has ever happened to your club or team? Entering this competition!! This is a first outing and it’s the start of something really exciting for over 35’s rugby in Dundee.
Who is your team Lothario? Kenny Shellard. Apparently its Kenny’s big berries that the ladies love!
Who is most likely to fall asleep on a night out? Ben Dunn. You’ll see Ben after the rugby leading the Declaration Band and you’ll see why he is the first to sleep. Ben has amazing energy but it comes at a cost!
Who is most likely to get sent off? Russell Beaton. Russell loves shouting from the touchline……. Refs beware.
Who is your top pint guzzler? Rod Fleming,,,, its always the quiet ones. Rods beast time is 10 seconds.
Who is your team gentleman? Graham Begg. He also has style and sophistication!
Top tip for tournament top tryscorer? If we score any it will be amazing!
